This build ships in DEMO mode with a major-US-ticker universe and synthetic Drop→Hold→Climb series. Optional API key fields (Polygon, Finnhub, Alpha Vantage) are saved locally for a future live-quote hook — they are not called yet.
How DropHoldClimb works
Plain English. Study tool for paper trades — day bounce ideas and longer reclaim/hold ideas.
Drop
Price falls hard enough to matter for your timeframe (you set min drop %). We’re looking for washed-out sellers, not every tiny dip.
Hold
Price stops making new lows and chops in a base for a while. Too short = no base. Too long = maybe dead money. You set the hold duration range.
Climb
Price starts reclaiming — higher lows, maybe volume up, maybe breaking the top of the base (resistance). That’s the pattern “turn.”
Buy window (paper)
The study idea: when climb confirmation starts, there’s a short window to practice an entry — then manage risk. Timer is a reminder, not a signal to use real money.
What the scores mean
Day grade leans on sharp drops + quick climb confirms (volume / higher lows).
Hold grade leans on base quality and reclaim structure for multi-day/week ideas.
Fit is the total rule match (0–100). Explainable components only — no fake AI mystique, no guaranteed win rates.
